Whew!! Well, I think I might be out of the woods. I believe my failure to uninstall NAV 2003 was somehow causing system information and restore to not work.

I've cleaned up the hard drive of all the remnants of NAV that it would let me, then re-installed and all is well with the OS so far.

Now onto downloading SP1 and all necessary updates.

I appreciate your input and help. I think I may have gotten lucky, and I need all of that I can get!
