Ah, confused the two then, reason would likely be that one friend of my wife is japanese, another chinese [well not that simple really, hakka chinese with roots in various asian places, speaker of cantonese though i think] .... the three of them learned english together over the last few years, they are all quite artistic and have been here with brushes showing the kanji [sp?] and chinese pictographs, similarities and differences etc .... both asian ladies speak a little spanish now, and my wife knows a little of their languages, more the japanese as it seems easier to pronounce .... she's also declared a number of asian dishes to be mexicana food, along with perogies, and beside the salsa picante at meals here you'll now find wasabi -g-
