| Tech, I have met very few people in this country that actually understand the thirst these people have for freedom. I know people from Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran. They are intelligent and educated people. They are all good people. Some are Muslim, some are not. Without question, without doubt, they all agree that freedom (and they use that word) is the most important thing in the world. All of them are adamant about freedom as the prerequisite for everything else they want for their countries. I don't claim that 6 people that I know speak for everyone, but I can say what I just did, and that's the truth. Remember, up until this morning, the citizens of Baghdad were getting no news at all except for loud explosions. Imagine their surprise when they really get the message. I think it will take a week or two, perhaps longer. |
