Actually I know that times are tough at XM. My best friend works at XM and he's always complaining about being understaffed and underfunded. Right now he's doing the job of 3 people because of a hiring freeze and other financial difficulties at XM. He believes these problems will go away in about 2 months but then that's what he said 2 months ago.

SIRI has more cash on hand than XM after their debt refi completed and because their G2 chips will be out in force soon, they are getting rid of all old inventory ASAP.
