Heating Grids plans for repairs and maintenance in 2003

In 2003, AO MOSENERGO's Heating Grids plan to replace and repair 78 km of pipelines. The AO MOSENERGO division also plans to lay 10 km of pipes insulated with polyurethane foam (PUF). The life of these pipes extends for 25–30 years. They require almost no maintenance and are not vulnerable to rust. PUF-pipes prevent heat loss, thus increasing the operational efficiency.

In addition to overhauls during winter preparations, Heating Grids will check and maintain all grid pipelines. As last year, Heating Grids will continue to replace seal compensators with bellow valves, which completely prevent water leaks

In the near future Heating Grids is going to build three pumping stations (Businovskaya, Filevskaya and Yasenevskaya) and carry out maintenance on all existing pump stations.

This year, AO MOSENERGO allocated 3,854 million rubles for Heating Grids maintenance operations. Approximately 2,872 million rubles are earmarked for grid overhauls, the remaining part will be spent on upgrades.
