Re trust the Perles and Wolfowitzes
Think so? This view of them is wrong??

I've decided mine is gullability, and it should be cultivated. -g-
In the mean time I learn my history. Madame Albright and the Iraqi Children, Kissinger and the Kurds, Powell in Rwanda, USA multinationals and the importance of "free trade". The most dangerous and uncaring part of the USA is it's officialdom. It applies to Americans living in the USA too. Their IRS makes our tax people look like Mr nice guys.... even though they charge a lot more.
There was this thing about Roman generals on parade at their Triumph.

In the chariot with the general was a public slave who whispered in the general's ear, "Remember thou art only a mortal," to keep the general from thinking that he was godlike.
My real worry is that Saddam has planted a time bomb of some sort, set to go off in the coming months. The invasion was almost too easy, though the planning and special ops may have something to do with it. Rummy reminds me of some CEO's I met, worrying about a penny here and there, while the importance of the real task eludes them. He is either very good or lucky to the same degree.
Anyway, it was very apparent to me that the Muslim extremists were getting out of hand. They wanted to make Britain a "Muslim only" enclave of the world for example. That's why God put USA Republicans on this Earth.
The Muslim nutballs pissed me off more then anything. (I know lots of OK Muslim folks) They really do play the international dimension. F**k 'em.
The planet Earth needed a new sheriff in town. I really mean that.
Maybe some real diplomacy can work now. If the Muslims, North Koreans, et al start using their brains instead of dumb macho threats and violence we can have a nice world where power is shared properly. Maybe a new UN? .... eventually -g- |
