10:43 ET CEPH Cephalon: source of Actiq recall rumor is ClinixPro.net (37.05 -3.09)
ClinixPro.net reports that Cephalon UK is recalling batches of Actiq that have been distributed in the UK with immediate effect. This recall is being carried out purely as a precautionary measure to avoid any risk of overdose of fentanyl in patients which in extreme cases could be fatal. This follows some high potency out of specification results being found during non-routine product testing.
