For several years there have been reports in various media that children in Iraq were dying from lack of food and medicine, and the reason they didn't have adequate food and medicine was because of the United States. I couldn't understand how anyone could believe that. This morning I heard a talking head on NBC remark that Iraq was actually a very wealthy country, but that Saddam and his pals had hoarded and squandered a vast fortune. Maybe there is hope at last for some common sense in reporting.
