Yes, there is no "Cure" for AIDS. The word "Cure" is a tough one in English because it can mean TWO different things when referring to Medicine. You are using it as

"Restoration of health; recovery from disease."

That is a correct definition. What the Western media is referring to is,

"A method or course of medical treatment used to restore health."
OR
"An agent, such as a drug, that restores health; a remedy."

These are also correct definitions.
