But if Bush and Cheney concocted this entire WMD story to "open up" iraq and the ME to democracy, in a veiled attempt to hurt saudi arabia, Jordan and the other countries in the region, then in my view the war was unjust.

What you mean is, if it was about helping the Iraqi people by getting rid of a murderous tyrant, then that is not a valid reason to inconvenience you economically.

BTW, how would bringing democracy to Iraq be a "veiled attempt to hurt saudi arabia, Jordan and the other countries in the region"? It's not an attempt to do anything to them. Of course, if their people see a happy, free, thriving and peaceful Iraq and start to wonder why they don't have it so good, then maybe the governments of those countries will need to rethink their own policies. Or would you prefer to see authoritarianism as the prevailing form of government in the region? Why? Do authoritarian states keep oil cheap or buy more Silly Valley technology?
