There were doom-and-gloom prophesies here, including my fear that this would never end

Nobody around here ever said US/UK would lose this war against Iraq. You are welcome to prove me wrong with a link to a post.

The dangers some of us see with US invading another country unilaterally, damaging international alliances and conventions in the meanwhile, and very probably increasing the ease of recruitment for the terrorists still exist. Or did you think these were risks that could blow up in our face within the month of March, when we talked about them in detail?

Can people simply admit when they are wrong and then change their assumptions, or do they reconstruct their assumptions and claim they were always right.

Some just stop answering questions when they are about to lose the debate, whereupon they turn away, and sulk :-)
