Re: Oil
A friend of mine is involved in the initial efforts to produce the hydrogen fueled car. It is being worked on jointly by US car companies and oil companies. Plan is to get an affordable, fuel efficient car on the road in 10 years. By then the plan is to have 30% of all gas stations carry hydrogen. Expected price is $3/gallon but fuel efficiency is double gasoline. Problem with the cars is getting to a 300 mile range and an affordable price. First cars will appear expensive but tax incentives and the benefits of mass production should bring them more into line.
I post this to point out the reliance on oil will peak in 9 years. I would assume producers will want to pump and dump during this period. Mideast nations better develop other industries. Mike
