What's interesting is that it was his commander who told him to do it. He (the soldier with the flag) was a bit of a celebrity here in NYC, since he is from here. His parents were interviewed etc. I saw the interview.......he emigrated here as a kid. I've wonder if his parents know his actions are being criticized. Its too bad........I know exactly how they felt when they put up the Amer. flag......it was never meant to be interpreted as anything but a symbol of freedom. But in this world, the best of intentions can be misinterpreted. ted
