gw,

Horsesh*t. The Hall of Fame president should be turfed. It was a celebration of a movie that was voted the best sports movie of all time by Sports Illustrated readers. It was not a political platform for Tim Robbins or the president of the Hall of Fame.

Don't you think that when the Hall of Fame sponsors an event, that they have some interest that the event ends up a Hall of Fame event, and is not hijacked into something else?

Suppose the Hall of Fame has a suspicion that it is likely that the event his organization sponsors will be hijacked into an anti-war rally. Is he obliged to provide platform for something like that? If he is obliged to do just that, where is his freedom of speech, freedom of speech of his organization?
