Yes. I am fully aware of that. It changes nothing. India, right next to China, hosts even greater diversity. But somehow they have managed to have an Indian identity without overly abusing any single group. And just because Tibet is next to India, I've never heard an Indian claim Tibet belongs to them.

Since you seem to be so sure about Tibet being part of China, tell me something. In what way is that the case? Do you consider Tibetans to be Chinese? Do you relate to them as your very own flesh and blood? Are they considered one of the many ethnic groups that contribute to China's diversity and valued for that? Or is it that China would have been so much better off if there were no Tibetans to begin with?

So what of it? Does he have legitimate claims to that or not? It is well known that plateau civilizations often exist on both sides of the mountains that surround the flat parts. You can argue all you want about the Greater Tibet, but what about the rest of it? Why is China still occupying that land?

Your whole perspective on this sounds authoritarian to me. You are talking about Tibet as if it is something that China "owns". I hate to tell you this, but slavery went out of fashion long time ago. Governments do not own the land along with its people. They only have legitimacy over them when they actually care about the land and its people.
