Jeff I understand what you mean, but I have a thought here that may be valid.

Lets say I am using a word processor that is programmed to automatically find and replace certain errors that it is sure are errors, for example If I type 'teh' for the word 'the' or when I may type "wich" for the word "which" and it was also programmed to automatically ask me when it came across a word that it assumes is a error, but is not sure and needs confirmation.

Okay, lets say you are using a normal work processor that you have to go back at the end and hit the spell check key and manually fix all the errors with the assistance of the automatic spell check.

if I type 95 wpm any you type 100, I still would have the advantage because of the automated correction factor.

You are true to say that speed means nothing without doing the conversion correctly, but I truly believe that the more you depend on "bodies" for the actual conversion work the more you are likely to have errors.

I know that ALYD has less of a demand on "bodies" than IMRS, PTUS, or IAIC does, but there are, or I should say there is a company out there that has fully automated tool.

I got flamed when I listed it as one of the companies I am invested in. It seems that the mere mention of the name drives people to the edge of madness.

Anyway, I do take in mind the capacity to produce "correct" code, but I feel that the more you depend on "bodies" for conversion the more you are likely to have errors. That is why I am a little disappointed at the number of people ALYD has to use, but I still think that SmartCode gives them a big advantage over IMRS and the other purely "body" shops.

I personally am waiting for IMRS to get to the testing phases of the code they are hammering out. Can we say big time SHORT.
