Lieberman didn't win Gore a single state. If he had, Gore would have won.

Gore would have won if he carried Tennessee, his home state. Or Arkansas for that matter. Without Lieberman on the ticket, Gore would have lost Florida by a wider margin. Selecting Kerry for VP would have dragged the ticket down. You would not have wanted two liberals on the ticket.

I don't think that Cheney carried any states for GWB. I think that Wyoming was pretty much in the bag.

BTW, are you saying that Cheney has no "magic"? <gg>
