Supports my assessment. US has acted as an honest broker paying everyone off to try and get peace. But Israel did not have give it back, they really did it because they are hoping that by compromising that there can peace. In some ways, looking at the situation with the way Egypt has done little to further the peace process and how there still a strong anti-Israel mood, I think it was probably a mistake giving it back. If the US is successful in Iraq, and the Palestinians are able to put together a government that will denounce terrorism, then there may be some hope.
