Any discussion about the HIGH PRICE paid in terms of human lives and destruction is RIDICULOUS. Most people that raise that point feel that the people should have risen from WITHIN rather then with COALITION support and overthrown Saddam. Well, had they done that, even if they would have been successfu, which they wouldnt have, they would have lost HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of Iraqi citizen lives. Note what happened in Basra area in the 1991 uprising. And again in Kurdistan in their uprising. So far something like 1,200 Iraqi citizens have died, a MERE FRACTION of what would have been otherwise. jdn
