I believe you are correct that we SHOULD be in Damascus but I also believe we will NOT be in Damascus. Why, cause first off there is a lot to clean up in Iraq and secondly Politically we just cant now invade another Arab country without proving the Arabs contention that we are out to attack all Arabs. Its a darned shame cause with all the big wigs, scientists and probably WMD moved over to Syria they will become a bigger threat then ever to Israel. I think the best we can hope for is a strong Iraq, allied with WESTERN interests which combined with others may be able to put tremendous pressure on Syria economically in a pincher type movement. jdn
