At this point in time, we do not know if US govt authorities were told of the situation or not. Perhaps they did, perhaps not; wasn't really my point. CNN's coverage the past 5 years or so never reflected what he now says was widely known throughout CNN management. To me, that is muffling the truth. As for his reasons ( I'd term them excuses ), I'm not impressed. CNN holds a wealth of influence both in the U.S. and overseas .... they should get rid of their bias and influence the world with the truth. The Arab "street" learned this week that the truth can be a bitter pill; they found out too late due to journalists who simply looked the other way. JB
