Of course it's a stupid bill, If a company derived income from it effort's in foreign countries I don't see why the people of the US have any rational or ethical claim on that money. Yes a law can be passed that has no basis in ethics or reason, but that does not make it right. It just makes it the law.

All income generated in this country is taxable and all the income of the thousands of people who work here is taxed. There are companies that are based in other countries who have people, even Americans working in this country and they are taxed.

Should we tax all revenue of all companies if they place a single employee in this country. If they transit America and never stop on a business trip. Should not that entire companies revenue be treated the same as your fleecing bill would put on American companies that expand or acquire companies outside the US.

OK I guess we could let tax lawyers write 10,000 pages a year in tax code to explain it. Are you paid by H&R block, or are you just very stupid.
