I think Intel will get the price they want for the first year. The new cpu is going to replace the Mini and Mainframe computers. Intel has already built the world's most powerful comuter using Pentium Pro chips (9,200 in one computer delivered to Sadia Labs - see intel.com for news releases and photos). The new cpu is far more powerful that the Pentium Pro and will support even greater levels of multitasking, which will optimise support for todays multi threading software. I think Intel is on the verge of very explosive gorwth and I would sell IBM and DEC.
