I have a dance partner who started "lurking" on this thread last week. I told her that when she reads my posts here she was "reading my mind." And that is true for all of us. Your thinking is exposed. I refer to it as a "thought print."

Bill, let me disagree, ever so slightly. I think I see what you are getting at but, as usual, I think it's a bit more complicated. For most of us we have a thread "persona" that may or may not be coincidental with the personality of the person. An illustration. As you know, I know some few of the thread participants personally. We've talked about other SI participants one or the other knows personally. And one of the constants is the degree to which the thread persona differs from the in person persona. I'm certain that varies from person to person, but I find it helps to keep that in mind.

I recognize that "persona" is different from "thoughts" but the notion of a bit of distance is the same.

Moreover, one more thought. When you recharacterize my thoughts to someone else, you are, almost inevitably, more than slightly wrong. I get reduced to a binary form of myself; which is not my self. Nor my thoughts.

Just a friendly thought.
