January 10th, 1776. The date that "Common Sense" was published. After people read that, they knew they no longer needed a King. We are children of the enlightenment, John.

Someone posted recently about how wise our Founding Fathers were. They were extremely well educated for the day. They had a very good grasp of the Greeks. Aristotle's reason was their guide. They knew Locke and Hume very well, and to a lesser extent, Descartes, Voltaire and "the Encyclopedists." Our present group of political leaders are ignorant compared to them. The ones on the left, of course, are a total disaster. They are "running on Wittgenstein." :>)
