fwiw, I have come to realize that there is something of a sell the news reaction when these large dividends are announced. so I guess there is a group that anticipates the announcement, and then the group that anticipates the run up from announcement day to ex-div, and finally, the group that actually wants the dividend. maybe I'll discover more shades of dividend capture as I go along Bob to himself
