Dear Chris: You are very mistaken. I am an offroader. First off responsable offroaders are very careful about the environment and stick to the trails to protect them. Plus we generally carry out a lot of trash others drop. Our Motto is "Leave Nothing but footprints". Anyhow, to the point, trails are being closed off constantly. Clinton was just plain awful in some of the underhanded things he did to close trails. (like calling areas for miles around a Monument). Secondly, out west MANY trails are ACTUALLY roads used by small towns to get around. Anyone here from Arizona, I bet the will vouch for that, same is true of places in Utah and Nevada and probably even Colorado. Its a wonderful sport, gets one out in the Wilds far beyond anything you could hike too. I love it. jdn
