I agree that the omission is most curious.

Musharraf is indeed vulnerable, and growing more so.

Certainly the greatest potential danger to US interests in the region.

But then, Pak has nukes... and as the region (and world) has well learned, this is the ONLY protection from US hegemony and aggression.

Is it simply not included in the study because the US is impotent to act?
