A lot of the hatred is based on religion. Jews are blamed for the death of Christ. I grew up in America hearing the words "Christ Killer".
The Koran, which is the Muslim holy book, teaches hatred towards Jews.
Also there is a jealousy factor. Perhaps because Jews have been shunned, they spend more time studying and less time socializing. But, Jewish achievement in the Arts and Sciences is extraordinary. There is a lot of jealousy over Jewish achievement and success. I just wish that if I am to be hated for being a Jew, then I would like some better successes than I have had. It's not quite fair! <g>

America has become a much safer place for Jews than when I was a child. America has really become color, race and culture blind. Sometimes I feel guilty. I'll listen to an old favorite childhood song, like Disney's "When you wish upon a star", and feel guilty because 1.5 million innocent Jewish children spent the last years of their lives separated from their parents, being brutally treated, starved and murdered and never got to hear the song or watch a Disney cartoon. My family comes from Poland. A little twist of bad luck and I could have been one of those kids.
The rest of the world is getting more antiSemitic. Most of the increase in antiSemitism is coming from the spread of Muslim immigration, and most of the acts of hate against Jews throughout Europe, is Muslim based.

We've got to stop the teaching of hatred of Christians and Jews in Muslim schools. We need to start with Iraq.

I hope that never happens, but if it did, most American Zionists would stand with America, and give Israel hell. There are many American Zionist supporters of Israel, and they have a lot of influence in Israel.
Israel could change for the worse. If Israel is forced to accept a majority of Arabs within the state of Israel, laws could be passed that were antiSemitic and antiAmerican. Those would be dark days. |
