Hi Richard, I am interested.. Here are my favorite runners in no particular order: Steve Prefontaine, University of Oregon prefontainerun.com Henry Rono, Kenya and Washington State University allafrica.com Gerry Lindgren, Another COUG.. runnersworld.com Pavo Nurmi, The Flying Finn clickhere.gr And I might include Mary Decker Slaney, but I have heard (read) so many different things about her.. I don't know what to believe of course.. runnersworld.com BTW my all time favorite race is the Sqauw Valley Moutanin Run, held near Lake Tahoe, every summer, late July or early August, The last few years, to benefit breast cancer survivors, one of my favorite charities.... But the toughest and funnest once you have finished near the top.... 2000 vertical feet in a about 5K.. coug
