The degree of looting and civil unrest that you accept is something the civilians should decide, and I think they were late.

I think you misunderstand me.
I do not accept it.
I just do not accept placing the blame for Iraqi looting on Americans...including those crummy Republicans.

I believe some in the administration were anxious to demonstrate that a smaller group of men could do the job.

I am thankful to those who did recognize the technology advantage would require fewer troops than in previous wars. Having more large units would have complicated logistics and reduced the air support per unit, no doubt costing more American lives. I do not think the Iraqi museum artifacts are worth that.

I am beginning to understand where you are coming from. You are looking for something to criticize...Go ahead have at it. I am through with this topic.

Remember 40,000 cops cannot control looting during periods of unrest in NYC and LA. Nor can they control the unrest. Expecting American soldiers faced with life and death to guard paintings and vases is too far out for me to discuss anymore.

I only wish that all of the naysayers had a few weeks of combat under their belts. I believe a few close encounters with battlefield death might help clarify how American soldiers think, and why they have the battlefield priorities they do.
