Personally I don't think its best to play short term on anything. I have found that usually I lose in the end because one wrong trade wipes out three successful trades. The only time I use options is to buy puts for protection during an earnings release, such as what happened to MEMC last week. ( Those puts saved my rear.) However, if one insists on working with options, I think the bull or bear straddle, such as a long term call and a short term put, is probably a good way to go, and relatively cheap. But being a mans got to know his limitations, I don't do that anymore.
