Democracy or Capitalism I am not convinced that democracy has any correlation to capitalism. Part of the problem in Iraq has been control of the vast easily accessible wealth, who owns it ? The distribution of wealth is a real problem in the Middle East, countries like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait are neither capitalistic nor democratic if you use our western yardsticks. The fact that they are not unfriendly to western nations is rooted in the desire for our money, not in a desire to emulate our political and economic systems. The family Saud is not going to promote democracy, regardless of what happens in Iraq. Iraq is already in chaos, very similar to Afghanistan. This chaos is not going to disappear with the death of the controlling regime. it will deepen. America does not have a traditional place in Iraqi politics yet they will be required to elevate someone to ultimate power. Your message indicates that you think that the United States is going to install a new economic system in Iraq, that is not something I have heard from any member of the coalition.
