Nicholas...Thanks for stopping by. There was an interesting article from the last few weeks about how the so called PPT originated back in 1987 to prevent something like that from happening again. I wish I could remember the link. The whole idea I believe was centered around liquidity and playing with money supply, US dollar, etc. Your post is right on target. Markets need to occur naturally and any time someone steps in to control it, you develop a problem . This one was exacerabated by the fact that in addiiton to a PPT, there was no MPT (Melt-up protection team), thus biasing the markets to the upside and creating the biggest bubble in history. The price will be paid and I agree, at some point there will be a pivotal moment when control can no longer be kept.
