I hold that calling yourself a libertarian is a stretch if you're anti-choice or pro-death penalty.

I don't see it that way.

Libertarians believe that the government should punish people for legitimate crimes they would just make the list of crimes smaller then more statist people would. I'm not 100% sure I am for the death penalty but I see nothing anti-libertarian about having the punishments be harsh even including death.

As for abortion it seems to me that if you don't believe that the fetus is a human with rights as a human then there is no other reason that you could be libertarian and pro-life. Other reasons might exist that where strong enough for non-libertarians but they would amount to an unjustified state imposition by libertarian standards. However if you do think of the fetus as being a human with human rights then even for libertarians it would be the states job to protect those rights, just as it is supposed to protect your rights and mine.
