Actually there ARE real people almost like my cousin Jethro. I've heard them calling into Limbaugh's show and others. Guys who have never been out of the country and have little education except Limbaugh himself, but are convinced France is our enemy, Saddam was behind 9-11, a new Cold War with Russia should be begun, GW never lies and was sent by God, and liberals are evil crazy people who are taking over the country. These are the Timothy McVeigh types. So talk about calling the kettle black. LOL
Seriously, the GOP moderates need to make a stand and bring some common sense back into the GOP. McCain running with Kerry would do it. Abraham Lincoln would be turning in his grave.
But I know, these right-wing cracker idiots used to vote for Democrats in the south. Like George Wallace. The GOP went after that Dixiecrat vote and got it. The roots of that "party" within a party are deep into racism, sexism, evangelical Christianity, political corruption and yes military as well. Some say they've changed, but they haven't completely.
Now that voter block is starting to control the party, along with the grand old Texas oil-weapons cabal, the old Cold Warriors like Bectel and Halliburton and the neocon Zionists, which if they get their way will literally control our forign policy and government.
Like Eisenhower said, beware the military-industrial complex, especially when it teams up with these hard-right foreigner-hating Zionists and the redneck Religious Right.
It's a potent combination which could actually move our country toward a quasi right-wing dictatorship. Dont laugh.
That's what we have going on now. And this war feeds them like honey. Only you never see the dark side of war on TV these days, just the ra-ra stuff, POW's rescued and statues toppling.
