.....President George W Bush stopped short of threatening US action against Damascus.....

Ummmmm, your article accidently (on purpose) forgot to
include a critical response to a question asked of Bush on
whether Syria was next, during this same Q&A on the White
House Lawn today. I saw the whole thing on Fox News FWIW.

"Each situation will require a different response," Mr
Bush said. "First things first. We're here in Iraq now."
