Considering the massive crimes against humanity & countless Geneva Convention violations committed thus far by Iraqi troops & Saddam loyalists, the endless stream of lies from Saddam & his top leaders; What possibly could anyone have to negotiate with that could possibly have any credibility whatsoever? "“We are carrying arms to defend our city from the Kurds." Oh, and the reason they don't want Kurds in Tikrit is due to the fact that Tirkiti forces that have led massive attacks against the Kurds in the past, slaughtering thousands of women & children. The Kurds are no where near Tikrit the last I heard. They agreed with the US to stay out. If there are negotiations, I am sure that US officials already know this & informed the tribal leaders. I do realize however, that facts or evidence contrary to your POV is ignored.
