In any event, the world is a safer place without your buddy Saddam running Iraq

You toss off these statements like they are true. Certainly Iraq is not safer than it was a month ago. No other country was threatened. Many places like Yemen and Syria may be less stable than they were. Finally the whole world is more dangerous because it is poorer and in an economic maliase caused in part by the war, but in whole by the same type of policies that caused the war, the fanatic instistence of the neocons to change the world to their image.

One thing that was found was hundreds of explosive vests
I hadn't heard this. Do you have a reliable source? It sounds more like a Limbaugh pickup line where he never actually says they found them, he just speculates "what if".

Iraq was a threat to the world
Ten or Twelve years ago Saddam was a threat to Iran, Kuwait, maybe even Saudi Arabia. Saddam has never been a threat outside his sandbox. His power, influence, and capability has been greatly exagerated. Iraq never recovered from the 1991 Bush War 1. The only accurate statements about Iraq are in the size of it's oil reserves.
