Hi ya'll - just in from Florida and glad to see the thread discussions have maintained their usual lofty bearing, lol. Luckily, there were no topless sunbathing babes where we were, that would have made it even harder for me to leave! Had a great time despite some outbreaks of Red Tide which carry airborne nuerotoxins that are deadly to fish and annoying to humans, cough, cough. One interesting factoid - went to the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, south of Fort Meyers, where the Audobon Society first made a name for themselves by protecting the egrets and herons from extinction in the 1920's. Turns out protection was needed because their feathers were so dearly prized as an adornment for women's hats - at the peak of the fashion trend they were worth more per ounce than gold! What a world - thank goodness there were folks who care enough to preserve it. If you like places of great natural beauty that are teeming with wildlife you'd probably like this place alot.

Well back to it tomorrow - I'm still leaning short and like that position even more now than I did a week ago when I left. Semis, bios, banks, usual suspects (loved seeing that Barrons cover piece) look juicy - we'll see what the postwar buzz does for this economy - Time to catch zzzzzs now...
