Greeting Dr. Searle:

My apologies for not responding sooner, I've been away and trusted our patient was in good hands while I was busy with other activities. Imagine my shock when I returned and realized you have made the correct diagnosis but prescribed an inappropriate therapy. Your error is understandable since it remains the medical consensus (everyone having forgotten the insights of our colleague - Dr. Bastiat).

We seem to agree that the patient's weakness and malaise is related to his lose of productive capabilities. But I don't understand the therapy? Having the patient drop expensive medical equipment on the other patients - which is going to cost him dearly - has clearly increased the patients metabolism (economic activity), and gives the appearance of restored health (in fact his voice has already returned and he speaks in the loud and bellicose manner of a teenager)! But has this activity done anything to change the weakened heart (productive capabilities), or has it only further weakened him - since the patient has wasted his limited energy on non-productive activities?

What's this?! A huge and ugly scar across our patient's chest? Dr. Searle, is it true? A heart (the Iraqi oil) has been stolen from another patient and transplanted into ours? Hmmm, possibly effective...but what will the other patients think?

John
