I love 11, 12, 13, 14,15, 16 and 17. Those are the finest series of Sunday finishing holes in golf. I don't like 18. 18 is a blind second shot to the green. You can't see the players reaction after the second shot, the cameras have a tough time following the path of the shot and only the people on the green can see the result. Pebble Beach, Harbor Town, TPC Sawgrass, St Andrews, Royal Birkdale, Muirfield, Oakmont, Olympia (and of course Paako Ridge)to name a few, all have magnificent finishing holes. You have to design it in such a way that the spectators, players and cameras can all see the entire hole to heighten the drama. Augusta 18 doesn't cut it for me...I'm gonna email Hootie and tell him to start pushing some dirt around.
