You have a lot of nerve claiming that, because the US didn't actively oppose the Chilean army overthrowing the socialist Allende government, that we "practically put Pinochet into power"..

If you do not know that the US government at the time proactively supported Pinochet and literally put him to power, then I do not have much to say to you on this subject.

I am not talking about "not actively opposing" the coup. I am talking about actively supporting the coup. Read up a bit about it and then we'll talk.

Using that logic, can't it be claimed that the US "practically put" these Turkish generals into power during those three coups?

That statement just shows that not only do you not know anything about your country's involvement in Pinochet's coup in Chile, but you have a funny understanding of "logic" to boot. That you know little to nothing about Turkey's political history we had already established after your statement on Ataturk "siding with Germany in WWI".

Yeah. Same thing that happened in any country that lived through hyperinflation. Like Brazil. Textbook stuff.

Hardly justification for a bloody coup and the thousands of people massacred, tortured, and missing to this day. Part of your posts reads as such and I find that quite horrifying.
