Is this your way of withdrawing your initial remark on how "Ataturk sided with Germany in WWI", admitting it was wrong?

your exhuberant apparent deification of Kemal:

What? Try to prove that. When you can't, I expect an apology for this senseless slander of "deification".

By the way, I don't know what you are trying to do with this first-name thingie (possibly an attempt at an insult?) but try to at least say "Mustafa Kemal" if you want people to understand who you are talking about. Just like someone calling George Washington "George".

But all I have to do to demonstrate the "cult of personality" involving Ataturk is to refer to the Turkish constitution, where HIS NAME is directly referred to in that document in it's preamble

So what? It refers to the reforms that Ataturk has put in place. "Cult" indeed...

Admit that the average Turks perception of Ataturk is a bit overboard

That is very true and was never a point I contested.

There is a difference between saying the Turks adore Ataturk at proportions that may look excessive, and saying he installed a "military dictatorship", which was your point I countered in the first place:

Whenever I hear someone state "I'm wasting my time" when someone presents logical and documented facts and opinions, it immediately indicates to me that they merely don't want to face inconvenient realities.

Hello??? I said that when I saw you state "Ataturk sided with Germany in WWI", which is completely false, as he was an officer in the army at the time and the decision to side with Germany was taken by the Padishah of the Ottoman Empire. That statement showed your level of acquaintance with the subject at hand, which is why I understood that I am wasting my time. Still am, in fact. So have a nice day.
