I am not an expert on the area map, though I have studied it. (Clinton I guess was knowledgeable about every block of Jerusalem.)
I don't see how Nablus, Bethlehem, Ramalah, Jericho, can remain pockets, so Jewish settlements would have to be removed to link those cities together. East Jerusalem of course is the most difficult issue, however I can't see the Arab neighborhoods being removed. So, most likely those areas would fall under a greater Palestine. Perhaps the holy sites could fall under joint or independent control.
As far as Gaza, the settlements would probably be removed, and IMO why doesn't Egypt chip in part of the Sinai? Or Jordan and Egypt could build road and ferry system so the Palestinians would not have to drive through Israel. Of course that would make it a 200 mile trip.
Lastly, Israel keeps the Golan Heights. |
