12:23 ET SONS Sonus Networks -- New High Profile (3.13 +0.35) -- Update --
One surprising addition to today's new 52-week high list is Sonus Networks (SONS), which took out its April 18, 2002 high today on above-avg volume (all-time high is $93.67.); the network infrastructure stock has been on a tear recently due to a narrower than expected loss, upgrades by Goldman Sachs and Smith Barney, and today's deal with Unefon. The 10 firms that cover the stock expect a loss of $0.10 this year and a loss of $0.05 in 2004, and expect the co to return to profitability in Q4 of 2004. Mkt cap $636 mln, avg daily volume 3.5 mln shares, float 188 mln shares, cash $106 mln.
