Glad you filled out your list with the left and the right....IMHO ideology isn't a spectrum, it's a circle with reason on one side and homicidal totalitarians on the other. Whether you call it communism or fascism the end result is about the same.

Saddam was a minor player in history's pantheon of baddies, enough to make the history books but a minor leaguer at best.

And maybe someone who knows the region can explain what it is about Iraqis that causes them to loot hospitals and museums. I can understand trashing the local Ba'ath party office or Saddam's palaces, but stripping an ICU so your fellow citizens die? There is no "moderate" explanation for that one.
