What bothers me is every expert on CNBC is calling for a cyclical bull for 1 to 2 years within a bear and the sentiment indicators like VIX , VXN etc are indicating a lot of optimism. I can't watch cnbc at the moment but I wonder what makes them bullish. There isn't anything indicating an imminent turnaround in fundamentals. Most people I know are either out of the market totally or if they are bullish (like me) it is more of a ltbh call, with the nasdaq almost a VC-type investment for the long term only. Nothing to indicate an immediate uptick in much of anything. Grimness persists for most sectors siliconvalley.com
