"pretty sad and shallow really"

Nope, had to leave for a Dr. appointment.

'you walk headlong into the political trap
congratulations, my warmonger friend"

Wrong again ke-mo sah-bee. Ah those perceptions still
failing to meet reality. Never was, never will be a
warmonger. Using force in self defense, national security &
safety for our citizens..... I'm for it. That growing
terrorist menace that Clinton did his best to ignore helped
bring 9/11. Afghanistan Taliban's & Al Qaeda's got what
they deserved. Iraq, with it's WMD programs & their
sponsoring, financing & harboring terrorists, ET AL, got
them what they deserve.

As for a political trap, don't think so. I'm not falling
into anything.

If you threaten me & help or otherwise encourage others
threaten me & my peers with serious harm and act on those
threats, well, I'm gonna strike back. That's all there is
to it. Argue & dismiss the terror aspect & WMD stuff all
you want. Time & history will be the final arbiter.

Let Europe oppose all it wants. I want this world free of
terrorists. They have been emboldened by our lack of
dealing with this growing menace. I say treat them no
differently than kidnappers. No negotiations until it
ceases completely. No if's and's or but's about it. If
their is an economic price to pay, so be it. I'd rather be
safe & poor than dead with lots of consumables & a job I
left behind. And the cost of festering, lingering terrorism
is immeasurable.

As for foreign investment needed for my current lifestyle,
I understand the implications & it is reflected in my
trading habits accordingly.

"incredibly shallow"

As I said, wrong ke-mo sah-bee. You may disagree with me
all you wish, but my POV is not shallow or wrong IMVCO.

"of course you mean "its just desserts"
you arent among the American illiterate, are you?"

Well spank me with a wet noodle. I was in a rush & taking
the time to post what I did made me late for my
appointment. I'm so ashamed of myself.

:-o

"now, in your hasty emotionally depleted state, are you going to urge the Versailles errors?
maybe you dont know what they are."

Emotional? Hasty? Depleted? Nope, nope & nope. The debts
owed to those fools, France, Germany & Russia were made
with Saddam, not the nation of Iraq. Much of it was illegal
& with known intent to rob Iraq of it's wealth while Saddam
profited & made the region & the world a much less safer
place. Phuck 'em all, let God sort it out. if there is
political & economic fall out, so be it. I am not for
allowing evil to profit. That is a much more dangerous
precedence in the long run. I am not saying that all should
be written off either. I say that it needs to be
restructured so that Iraq does not have to pay for the sins
of Saddam & the sins of the evil three. And the evil three
should be made to feel pain for their evil ways.

'this is all very bothersome to me, that so many Americans harbor ill feelings, express harsh emotions, when our vulnerabilities are exposed to nasty consequences, and our ignorance of geopolitics opens up new exposures and risks at a critical time."

My ill feelings have been properly described above. IMVCO,
they are appropriate & justified. Show me where I have
harsh emotions on this subject. I'm harsh against evil to
be sure. I hate evil & evil should be punished severely &
never placated. I certainly do not wish evil to be pandered
to or allowed to profit so I may have excess consumer
goods, a job & a terrorist in every neighborhood. Crush
evil so it does not flourish. If I must pay a price for
this, so be it.

I think that we are doing the right thing & sending the
right message to all concerned. If they want to take issue
with it, then let's rumble. The dirty three were wrong.
Saddam was wrong. Fanatical Muslims who want to make Jihad
are wrong. If any of them want to raise the ante based on
what we are doing, then bring it on.

That doesn't make me a warmonger. It's no different than
standing up to bullies. Most bullies will not go away
unless you let them know they will pay a steep price for
their actions. Placating them, talking sense to them,
ignoring them or paying them off is guaranteed to embolden
them. Then you end up creating a powerful incentive for
more bullies to come knocking. That is an undeniable fact
of life. You deal with the bullies up front or later on
there will be more & bigger bullies looking to take more &
more.

"are you aware of the Versailles Treaty after WWI?
put your silly emotions aside and now begin to use your expansive brain"

Jim, I am not silly, sad, shallow, a warmonger, illiterate,
challenged, hasty, emotionally depleted, or ignorant. I do
not have ill feelings or express harsh emotions, except
towards evil & evil should always get what it deserves. I
don't appreciate the inappropriate name calling that has no
basis in fact.

I am fully aware of the Versailles Treaty & it's
consequences. Bottom line, phuck evil. Phuck evil
everywhere. No excuses, no justifications, no nothing. I do
not want evil to be given an inch anywhere, anytime, no
matter the costs. The big mistake is to give anything to
evil that they do not deserve. That is where you pay the
price over & over. And each time the price gets higher.
Snuff it out now & give it no incentive to come back!

That does not mean that anyone should be brought to their
knees with inappropriate overly harsh penalties. I simply
do not want anything to allow for even more inappropriately
mild penalties out of some fear of past mistakes. Do it
right, but don't do it light...... or evil will be sure to
return.
