'when perhaps 50-70% of the Iraqi Army members wanted to surrender?"

They didn't surrender, plain & simple. They tried foolishly
to fight a clearly superior force. If they were forced to
stay, that is sad but not our fault. Try the criminals who
made them stay. Blame those responsible, not Bush or our
troops.

The number of casualties in this war will never be close to
the number tortured, raped & slaughtered by the Butcher of
Baghdad. Not even close. And the world will be a safer,
freer place for it.

I'm glad we have a vastly superior military. Sure beats the
hell out of Saddam or some other mad muthur phucker having
it. Rant & rave about Bush, warmongering, imperialism & all
that other absolute bullshit. History will show who did
what & IMVCO, Bush will, in the end do the right thing.

"war fatalies are 1000:1
this is not a testament to our superiority
IT IS A TESTAMENT TO OUR CRUELTY, DEHUMANIZATION OF THE ENEMY, AND OUR ATROCITIES"

Got the first part right. Got the second part totally
wrong. We are using our vastly superior military to snuff
out a brutal, repressive regime that harbored, financed &
supported terrorism. A regime that would not give up its'
WMD's & WMD programs. I'm glad that the ratio was
inordinately lopsided in our favor. Might surely was right
in this fight.

"your pride in this war makes me want to puke
you sound like a patriotic blind fool"

Again with the inappropriate name calling & labeling that
has no basis in fact or reality. I supported this war for
the right reasons. And history will as well.

"our willingness to use Conventional Weapons of Mass Death Destruction will make post-war public relations with Arab nations utterly impossible"

It will be their very serious mistake to do so. Bush kept
his word. He also took care of JOB #1...... defend our
safety & security. And he did it with aplomb.

"congratulations on a victory over a helpless enemy fighting with rifles pointed at their backs
"

If true, history will lay blame precisely where it belongs.
At the feet of Saddam & his henchmen.

"utterly pathetic to feel pride in this war"

Not pride in this war. War is HELL! I have pride in our
troops. I have pride in our Presidient for doing the right
thing when so many others with their evil support &
financial profiteering from that regime should feel real
shame. And anyone who supported them or employed deplorable
actions pretending to be against this war to disguise
purely political/financial agendas.

"we have not only alienated the Other Arab World
we have alienated the Axis in Europe
outside the military operations, this war is an unmitigated disaster."

We will see. I firmly believe you will be proven wrong.
Time will tell.

"any tears of pride over their Museum being destroyed?
after our countless promises to protect it?
this is about oil and airbases, you kneejerker"

Don't put words in my mouth & quit calling me names that
have ZERO basis in fact or reality.

I think the looting is deplorable. I wish there was a way
it could have been avoided. However, with known terrorists
in the streets & fighting still in ever decreasing areas,
policing would have only exposed large quantities of
Coalition targets to easy sniping & suicide bombs. Phuck
material things. Protect our troops first & foremost. We
didn't create the environment for retribution & hatred that
led to mass looting.

I notice that the disgust at the loss of material things
seems to be a HUGE issue with the Anti-Bush crowd. I also
notice that liberating 24 million people from three decades
of unspeakable horrors gets not one accolade.

That stinks of something beyond honest dissent or
disapproval. It is dishonesty at it worst.

Oh, oil shmoil. That's been beat to death. Didn't work
before the war, won't work now. And history will show it
was not about imperialism or stealing oil.

I'm willing to bet on it.
